Melanie Fox, EdD, as been an educator for over 40 years, serving diverse, rural, urban and suburban communities in variety of roles including 25 years as an elementary/K-8 principal and region/area director for eight years in one of the four largest school districts in the nation. She earned her doctorate in educational leadership in 2002 from NSU and has extensive experiences building positive school climates and developing and mentoring school leaders to promote enhanced student outcomes, with special emphasis working in fragile/turnaround schools as well as schools desiring to move from good to great.
Dr. Fox has consulted at local, state, and national levels regarding leadership and effective schools and served on many state and national advisory boards. She has also published articles about parental and community involvement, technology trends in schools, multi-age classrooms and team building as well as presented on a variety of topics at conferences across the country.
Dr. Fox believes that high quality public education is the bedrock of our democracy and that effective leadership is the key to any schools success.
